I use quick oil studies to decide which images are worthy of ‘growing up’ to become larger works, and I explore color, design, and value in these pieces. Many of these are juicy gems in their own right, substantial enough to warrant mounting and framing.

These oils are painted on thick, weighty Arches oil paper and are sold varnished and unframed.
