This 17x22 image is printed on 22x26 heavyweight paper; I have just a handful of these prints left, from the artist's proof edition of 50 that accompanied the original 2003 print run for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet series. The prints are otherwise only available on the secondary market. The painting for this print was based on a magical encounter with a wild grizzly bear on the Katmai National Park coastline of Alaska; the same bear was also the inspiration for my 2002 Arts for the Parks Grand Prize winning painting, "Illumination".
