My Whitefish gallery, Frame of Reference, will be hosting a show for works smaller than 235 square inches, in any medium. I’m sending several of my new mixed-media paintings to the show, and will be attending the public opening on Friday, Nov 22.
The non-profit partners for the show this year are Hockaday Museum of Art and Glacier Conservancy.

This is sort of a “junior league” Prix de West; an artist may submit two images, each no larger than 320 square inches (eg, 16x20). The work is frequently more contemporary than Prix de West, and certainly more affordable. This year I’m sending both a scratchboard and a mixed-media piece, and I’ll be curious to see how they do.
