Jean - Ah yes, I could start doing spoofs of all kinds of paintings! Kind of a fun thought - makes me laugh just thinking about it.
Betty Jane, I'm glad I could make you smile.
Chery - oh groan!!

I have to say that Ernie's reply (first above) with the "Master of what I do" tagline sent me over the top when I got that one. Whoooeeee, I had a lot of amusement from this April Fool's!

I wondered what happened to my April newsletter. I saw it on the list one day but before I could get back to the list, so many other e-mails had come in that I figured it had been smothered to death! I have a granddaughter whose nickname has been "Moose" ever since she was a little thing. She would be happy with this composite because it has real feminine appeal as well as the obvious tie-in to her personally. Perhaps, you have hit upon a new avenue to pursue. You could have a calf lounging on Van Gogh's bed in his painting of his room, etc. :)

<strong>Dear loyal Artzine readers,</strong><em>

We interrupt your regularly scheduled Artzine to bring you this late-breaking update, and we regret to inform you that there have recently been some unfortunate developments in Ms. Chapman's art career.

Firstly, she was caught red-handed fastening a bra onto a horse belonging to one of the Cowboy Artists of America. She refused to comment at the time, but it appears that Ms. Chapman has probably joined the Women's Art Liberation Front (WALF), a terrorist insurgency group whose main aim appears to be to disrupt the annual CA show and emasculate its members (or their horses). Apparently, the WALF group believes that paintings by female artists should be accorded the same worth as those of male artists. Clearly, radicalism such as this cannot be tolerated.

As representatives of the fine government-sponsored group Fighting Against Terrorism - Artists Supporting Society (whose acronym is best left unprinted) we find Chapman's actions reprehensible in the extreme and we are seeking punitive action against this outlaw artist.

However, we are having some difficulty tracking down the aforementioned fugitive from justice. We have just one clue to go on:

<a href="http://s278.photobucket.com/albums/kk93/ArtistInNature/?action=view&current=PoolsofSerenity.jpg" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk93/ArtistInNature/PoolsofSerenity.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

This suggests to us that Chapman is trying to cover her tracks - and perhaps make up for her past sins - by hiding out in the Thomas Kinkade workshop. Although we might expect she is joining as one of the workshop's fine canvas 'highlighters', the image shown here suggests that, once again, her misguided sensibilities are running amok.

If any of you have any knowledge as to Ms. Chapman's whereabouts, or any leverage at all with her terrorist psyche, please - help us and help this poor brainwashed individual at the same time, and turn her in to the authorities. America will sleep better as a result, and god knows so will we
