| I love painting horses - the form, the colors, the shiny coats, the expressive postures...it's all good. Every year during Fall Arts Festival I make a journey out a lonely, bumpy, dusty road to a wonderful paint horse ranch miles south of Grand Teton park; the ranch breeds for spectacular color in its performance horses. The most recent sojourn netted me wonderful reference material of the mares with some youngsters in great compositional groupings. I look forward to painting more like this. | ||
